The omition of one little three letter word or even of two of the letters of that word and an apostrophe can drastically change the meaning of a sentence.
Cutting and pasting replicates the mistake.
Is this a metaphore for the dispute between science and religion?

Rev,
I finally figured out what you are talking about. I think the metaphor is with refernce to mutations. Once a flaw is in the DNA it stays there until it mutates again. Dr. Nay is the change agent in this case. We'll see if he repairs the damage and dereplicates it.
A-T G-C, T-A C-G but never A-C C-A nor A-G G-A nor T-G G-T nor C-T T-C
