What are the creation beliefs of others of the world's religions? I don't mean Christian denominations nor Judaism but the religions like Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, Confucianism and Islam? What are their creation myths and flood stories?
What do they have in common with the Bible account and how do they differ?
What exciting discoveries are their creation scientists developing?

Flood Legends

Dr. John D. Morris, Ph.D., son of Henry Morris has an article on the ICR website about this topic: www.icr.org/pubs/btg-b/
Basically, he says that he has collected some 200 stories from various cultures similar to the Flood of Genesis. He has a breakdown of the ?essence? of these stories as they relate to the Genesis account, quite interesting. The stories that come the closest to the Biblical Flood are from the middle eastern cultures. And of course the obvious question comes to mind, ?How is it that vastly separated cultures have flood stories similar to the Biblical Flood?? The essence of most all of the stories is: A righteous man,his family, and animals delivered in an ark/boat from God?s judgement on the wicked by way of a flood. I believe the answer lies in the fact of the global flood described in the Bible.
There is a video that briefly deals with many of these various flood legends, ?The World That Perished? It?s somewhat antiquated (old too), but excellent. There is a small book, by the same title, that goes along with the video. I believe there is an updated version of this video out now.
