Belief vs. Truth

If I believe that the earth is flat, that does not make it flat.
If someone believes that the earth is a cube, it is not a cube.
Just because Columbus believed the earth was round, it was not round.
I do believe the earth is flat, or maybe a cube.
I certainly do not believe the earth is a ball.
All I need is a crew and a ship to really find out what shape the earth is.
Or maybe a space shuttle, and some flight lessons.
And of course the finances.
Any takers?

I not sure what the ? is.
Just because you don't believe something is true doesn't mean it is not true and because you believe something is true doesn't make it true.
Eventually what you believe comes down to faith in something!
because we are finite beings and not all knowing or infinite. Even those some times we might think so.
Because my eyes can deceive me, so seeing is not believing. I put my belief i.e. my faith in the Bible. Because it has stood the test of time through it all I know of no errs in it. It is my truth so I measure all things by the Bible.
And for the round earth if you has a ship to travel to see the whole earth could, would you have faith in your eyes? I guess, I have some faith in my eyes because I use the to read the Bible. I see the moon, it is round to me and the shadow of the earth that is cast on it has a rounded edge. So God in the Bible created the Heavens and the earth they have a common creator i.e. common Design. Now for the Bible Isaiah 40:22 KJV.
21.Have you not known? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth?
22. It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.

Thankyou for your reply.
The ? would be would you like to team up and run Columbus' journey for yourself? Just daydreaming really.
Anyway thankyou for the verse, that does explain that the earth is a circle. It just sounds a little extravagant, you've got to admit. Something of such importance should be tested out by each individual. Having scripture along as a navigator would be the smart way to go too.
I still say that the earth is an ice-cream cone.
