What are the Odds of Finding Oil in Israel?

Below is a link to an article about a man drilling a hole over 13,000' looking for petroleum in Israel. The Bible told him were to explore. If this is a dry hole he thinks evangelicals will finance more tries. This to help Israel in her struggle financially and politically with her neighbors.
What do you think? Has God provided Israel with oil? Some other strategic mineral? Does the Bible make promises of wealth and security on earth?
