Sorry, as I'm sure you'll agree, I can be a little slow.
By the way, there may not be many that post, but there are well over 300 visits to the forums each month --- several are from other countries. My purpose for taking time with this is that some (even one) will come to know Jesus as Lord.

I must not be making myself clear, i.e. the comment about Lucy is NOT MY COMMENT, it?s the comment of Donald Johanson, a prominent evolutionist.
Again, I must not be making myself clear, as I believe that God did NOT leave man in a position where he could not determine what is or is not true, He gave us His Word --- the Bible.
I did not say that man is not to use his intellect to understand the world around him. as I believe that intellect is a facet of being created in the image of God (Gen. 1:26ff.). I believe that there needs to be a standard, i.e. a measuring device of some type to determine what is or is not true. For me it?s God?s Word. Based upon the things that I do understand, I accept on faith the things that I do not understand in God?s Word. My view that the Bible is from God is not based on blind faith, but the use of the intellectual capability that I received from God. The bottom line is that I have a compass for my passage through this life, it?s God?s Holy Spirit coupled with His inspired Word.

So I take it you believe the entire universe was created in 6 literal days about 6000 +/- years ago there was a world wide flood, and that while there may have been some microevolution within "kinds", you do not believe the generally accepted scientific ideas that the universe is 15 billion + years old, earth 4.5+/- years old and life as we know it has evolved from other living things.
Is that pretty much a correct statement?
Almost Agree!

At last, we almost agree!! I.e., relative to your statement being correct, although I place the Flood of Genesis very close to 2345 BC, not 4000 or so BC.

We agree to disagree. Your dates are wrong. Mine are correct.

IF truth is relative to perception, we're both correct. Of course I do not believe that truth is relative to perception.

Sorry, we cannot both be correct. Truth is truth.
