If it is true as someone said that , "A philosopher is a blind man, in a dark cellar, without a light, looking for a black cat, that isn't there.", then what is a Doctor of Philosphy? Is he or she the kind of doctor that does anyone any good? Can a Christian be a philosopher? Can a philosopher be a Christian?

My prayer is that in some small way I can be of help to those searching for substance in life; I believe it comes through a personal relationship with Jesus.
Philosopher/Christian - Basically, a Christian is called to be a philospher, in that he is called to share his philosophy of life with others. The Bible offers a philosophy of life - where we came from, why we're here, where we are going. By definition, when one enbraces a philosophy of life and lives in accordance with that philosphy, it has become their religion. If one has the philosophy of life; eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow we die and they live their life in this way, this philosophy has become their religion. When one makes their moral decisions in accordance with their philosophy and adheres to their philosophy of life dogmatically, it has become their religion. Personally, I believe that all people are religious. If one's view is that they do not have a philosophy of life and they attempt to live accordingly, this philosophy (not having one) has become their personal religion.
